WORKSHOPS: Pick your session

Choose one workshop between 13:30 – 15:00.

Spaces are limited so preferences will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Option 1: End to end user provisioning – The story of the Microsoft identity stack

Presenter: Ian Bassi (Senior Identity Consultant, OCG) and Simon Veale (Senior Architect, OCG)

Our experts take you through a complete hybrid identity scenario – from on-premises HR, through MIM, through AD, through AAD Connect, to the cloud and beyond to SaaS applications.

Choose this session if you’re interested in MIM, PAM, Azure AD Connect, Office 365 and Azure provisioning to SaaS applications, or are just curious about how they work together in a way that could benefit your organisation.

We will demonstrate the on-boarding of a new employee in a hybrid world, taking you through identity solutions that span on-premises and cloud-based capabilities, creating a single user identity for authentication and authorisation to all resources, regardless of location.

Having signed on to systems using privileged access management, we will follow the new employee as they are created in an on-premises HR system and are assigned a role by Microsoft Identity Manager. We then demonstrate set-up of a users’ Active Directory account and how you can securely set initial passwords, as well as an Azure Active Directory account and an Office 365 mailbox. Our experts will then show the user being created in a SaaS application from Azure.

Note: this workshop is repeated again at 15:30 – 17:00. Please only select one.

Option 2: What’s new with Azure AD B2C?

Presenter: Marcus Idle (Head of CIAM and IP, OCG)

An introduction to Microsoft B2C and why customers are choosing it for their secure, single sign-on requirements, including a live demonstration and technical Q&A session.

Option 3: RIP passwords! A discussion on the future of authentication

Presenter: Dave Guest (Technology Evangelist and Solution Architect, OCG)

A walk-through real-world examples of architecture and implementation of authentication within large enterprise organisations.

Passwords are no longer reliable in protecting our data and identities. Their management and protection are becoming increasingly problematic – and hackers have multiple ways of breaking them. The world of authentication is changing!

Join our workshop with Microsoft to look at new authentication solutions that are both easy to use and secure.

Option 4: The path to next-generation identity governance

Presenter: Speaker to be confirmed (Saviynt)

A deeper look into cloud-based identity governance and administration platforms.

Today, organisations must adapt their mission-critical workloads, unstructured data and applications to serve the ever-increasing needs of an agile business. As digital transformation progresses, businesses can’t overlook the new ways users access the applications and data needed to support business functions.

Join Saviynt as they take you through a detailed analysis of their new cloud-based identity governance and administration solution.

Presenter: Marcus Idle (Head of CIAM and IP, OCG)

Save time and resources in your IT support desk by automating tasks such as granting/removing B2B access, securely setting up accounts, and powering user ‘self-service’.

This session is for large organisations or universities with collaboration or account activation and access headaches. Join Marcus Idle to understand how you can streamline easy B2B collaboration, and eliminate time and cost for IT departments in today’s modern workplaces.

At the same time, learn how Access Centre can ease the strain on IT through providing simple and secure bulk user account activation for new employees or students during busy periods.

Presenter: John Hur (Senior Consultant, OCG)

Understand how you can protect at the front door with conditional access rules and MFA as an extra security step.

Our experts will demo how conditional access and MFA can work together for an organisation to secure access, such as setting access policies based around sign-in risk, network location, device usage, and more.

Option 4: Deconstruction of a Next-Gen MIM SaaS Solution

Presenter: Hugh Simpson-Wells (Founder, OCG)

Presenting the modern Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) solution incorporating Azure SaaS solutions from SoftwareIDM, and examining how large customers are managing, coding, and testing MIM from the Azure cloud using Identity Panel & MIM DevTest.

Take a closer look into how global organisations are extending their MIM Portal solution to the cloud and mobile devices with Service Panel, and explore and preview the future of MIM as an HTTPS Service.
