Oxford Computer Group will be sponsoring the newly-formed Conwy Cannons junior basketball team to help support their quest for success in the North Wales Basketball Association U16 league.
The team – which was only formed back in the summer – has already grown to include 13 players, and a coaching team of three.
Nick Lamidey, director at OCG, said: ‘We are very proud to be sponsoring this bright young group of kids, who have shown great determination and skill over the last few months. We wish them every success in the league, and also in further development of the team.’
Shaun McCann, a senior consultant at OCG, set up the Conwy Cannons team. ‘We are very grateful to OCG for their generous financial support for the team,’ he said of the sponsorship deal. ‘The new team kit has been very gratefully received by the boys. We feel very proud of our team, and look forward to continued support from OCG.
Following a successful start, the club is now looking to expand further next season, and we invite new players who are currently in Year 9 and 10 to come along and take part in the regular training sessions on Thursday evenings.’
