Role overview

The key purpose of this role is to manage the marketing team and to work with the Head of Marketing to build/develop the marketing strategy in line with business growth objectives.

This is a “player manager” role. It requires a sound knowledge of the latest marketing techniques, and the proven skills and experience to create and execute campaigns directly and through the support of the marketing team.

Key responsibilities

  • Set the marketing strategy, plan and campaign schedule – own and adapt the execution of the marketing plan across the team
  • Create and articulate value propositions for key lines of business and vertical segments
  • Create and manage messaging and content that positions OCG’s capability and credibility effectively
  • Own and align content plan to the customer journey and deliver through the marketing team and external agencies
  • Event strategy and planning – own the event strategy across OCG and 3rd party events
  • Sales and marketing alignment – build relationships with sales stakeholders and communicate campaign plans to ensure alignment
  • Commercial decision making to maximise marketing opportunities and optimise budgets
  • Creative use of data and all resources to optimise plan success
  • Identify and research competitive landscape and create points of differentiation
  • Marketing budget – work with Head of Marketing to plan budget spend and monthly accountability/reporting
  • Provide monthly and quarterly marketing reporting against agreed KPIs/measures

Essential knowledge and experience

  • 2 years managing a marketing function – preferably in a professional/managed services business
  • Supplier/agency management experience

  • Copywriting and content creation experience
  • Excellent written and communication skills

Support Analyst

Hours: 37.5 per week
Salary: Negotiable

Role overview

The Support Analyst is responsible for the operational support of multiple large-scale customer Microsoft-based solutions and applications.

There is a particular focus on Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) 2010 and its associated technologies, as well as other Microsoft technologies and OCG’s internal IT support.

Support is provided through maintenance, modification, problem resolution and incident management.

  • Mentor/technical advisor to service desk analyst
  • Responsible for knowledge management
  • Project support
  • Responsible for development of service desk tool
  • Service development tasks
  • Looks for ways to add value beyond client’s immediate requests
  • Explores and addresses the unidentified, underlying and long term client needs.
  • Enhances client service delivery system and processes and anticipates clients upcoming needs and concerns

Essential knowledge and experience

  • Ability to troubleshoot complex bespoke applications
  • Ability to read and modify code written in VB.Net and C#
  • Knowledge or experience of working with Microsoft PowerShell
  • Good knowledge of Active Directory/Windows-based servers
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative, virtual environment
  • Ability to work independently, on multiple projects, in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong writing and speaking abilities, necessary to explain technical issues in a clear and compelling manner to various levels of technical and business audience

Key interfaces

  • Works closely with all support teams including the service desk
  • Works closely with all consultants, architects and PMO
  • Liaises with IT management to report or escalate issues
  • Manage relationships with a wide range of hardware, software and service suppliers
  • Works regularly with all customers to ensure best possible IT service and incident resolution
  • Occasionally works directly with partners of the business to ensure swift resolution of queries and incidents.

Technical Business Analyst/Tester

Hours: 40 per week
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 (depending on experience)
Holiday allowance: 25 days per annum
Location: Home-based

Role overview

The Technical Business Analyst/Tester will be involved in gathering and documenting requirements for both new software tools and components, and enterprise scale Microsoft technology solutions which we deliver to our wide client base. You will also lead on testing the developed software or solution; developing test strategy and test plans.

You will have excellent written and oral communication skills and experience of presenting, teaching or running workshops.

A very strong technical background is required with an understanding of coding principles and experience of automated testing.

Degree level education or equivalent in a technical subject, ideally Computer Science, is expected.

Although the role is home-based, time will be spent at our offices in Oxford, Cwmbran and on customer sites around the UK. Travel and staying away from home on occassion will be an intrinsic part of the job.
